SantosFcOsasco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Quadros in the 28th minute of play forced SantosFcOsasco's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Nóbrega's late challenge caught a SantosFcOsasco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fausto Nóbrega helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes Inhaumense FC got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Nóbrega. In the 33rd minute Wellington Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Pedro Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Inhaumense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Soeiro came free, but Genílson Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubens Souza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Genílson Falcão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Luciano Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Queirós to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of SantosFcOsasco booed when Inhaumense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rubens Souza struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Genílson Falcão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SantosFcOsasco. Noel Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson Falcão having to interfere. Genílson Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Damião in the 79th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Inhaumense FC's zone, Noel Soeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genílson Falcão came out of the goal and Noel Soeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84thth minute of the game Rubens Souza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inhaumense FC's Genílson Falcão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute Rubens Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genílson Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Rubens Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SantosFcOsasco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Noel Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 98 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Noel Soeiro sped through Inhaumense FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Genílson Falcão.
