Manaós's Willian Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Soeiro in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Rubens Souza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Willian Pires was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antônio Carlos Silva got free with Zé Pedro Brasil in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Willian Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubens Souza in the 37th minute of the match. Willian Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubens Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Jardel Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anísio Urbano's late challenge caught a Manaós's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anísio Urbano helped the player get up and apologised. Zé Pedro Brasil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jardel Tavares's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. The audience was convinced that Noel Soeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willian Pires was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. The SantosFcOsasco supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SantosFcOsasco would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
