The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Furtado in the 14th minute of play forced Agnelo FC's goalkeeper Giovanni Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to JV&M Esporte e Açao getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Alexsandro Matos hit a great ball. Geovani Donato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laércio de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. In the 20th match minute, JV&M Esporte e Açao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Galvão to maneuver through the defense. Silvinho Breckenfeld charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvinho Breckenfeld the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlos Arósio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Gustavo Mesquita when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Carlos Arósio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Agnelo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Laércio de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Agnelo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Laércio de Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laércio de Queirós was the one to do the kick off. José Carlos Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Giovanni Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Mesquita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Arósio went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, JV&M Esporte e Açao's Benjamim Pirani got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute Carlos Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The JV&M Esporte e Açao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Mesquita should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio de Queirós in the 81st minute of play forced JV&M Esporte e Açao's goalkeeper Gustavo Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 97 minutes of play JV&M Esporte e Açao's Silvinho Breckenfeld was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to JV&M Esporte e Açao getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Silvinho Breckenfeld hit a great ball. Agnelo FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
