The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Váldson Ortiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fernandão Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Adelino de Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manguinhos EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 79th minute, Juan Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adelino de Sousa struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, Afua's Marcelinho Ortiz got a free kick in the 91st minute. Adelino de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Claudinho Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Manguinhos EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
