The supporters of Lions FC booed when Aristeu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Giuseppe Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lions FC! Ivo Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafa Diniz in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Daniel Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germano Vidal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Ruy Vides made a huge save. Rafa Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 39 minutes, Fellipe Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lions FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fellipe Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafa Diniz in the 40th minute of play forced Aristeu's goalkeeper Ivo Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Ruy Vides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 57 minutes into the match, Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Terra came free, but Ruy Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Rafa Diniz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rafa Diniz struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Ivo Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lions FC. Ruy Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Luz in the 66th minute of play. Fellipe Montenegros short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Ivo Alcântara to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lions FC's Ruy Vides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Terra in the 68th minute of play. In the 80th minute Rafa Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fellipe Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ivo Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dieguinho Fernandes in the 84th minute of play forced Lions FC's goalkeeper Ruy Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rafa Diniz came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Lions FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafa Diniz couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, Fellipe Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aristeu's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
