In the 11thth minute of the game Pedro Luiz Ramos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ribeirão Preto FC's Josué Berger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Josué Berger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luiz Ramos's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Siqueira in the 29th minute of play forced Ribeirão Preto FC's goalkeeper Josué Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelinho Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Ramos in the 34th minute of play forced Ribeirão Preto FC's goalkeeper Josué Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josué Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Siqueira in the 36th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Pedro Luiz Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ribeirão Preto FC's Josué Berger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Siqueira in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Ribeirão Preto FC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Paulo Goiano. In the 47th match minute, Ribeirão Preto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Diniz to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

David Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Claudinho Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tony Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ribeirão Preto FC's goalkeeper Josué Berger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Luiz Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Berger having to interfere. Jonathan Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Josué Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Afua defense, Ricardinho Neto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinho Berger. The Afua fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinho Berger should have stopped the shot. Tony Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Berger having to interfere. If Pedro Luiz Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josué Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afua's Claudinho Berger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Massa in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ribeirão Preto FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Afua had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
