Celsinho Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Caio Costa Club's Gil Velasco got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Messias in the 33rd minute of play forced Manguinhos EC's goalkeeper Celsinho Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Caio Costa Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Manguinhos EC.
