Antônio Carlos Andrade had several of the Afua's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 89 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Claudinho Berger as he didn't even see the shot coming. Silvinho Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Berger having to interfere. BRAGA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
