Enrique Antunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luiz Ramos's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. The supporters of Afua booed when Solarestival was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Solarestival's goalkeeper Enrique Antunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tony Siqueira. After a defensive mix-up in Afua's zone, Iuri da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Berger came out of the goal and Iuri da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudinho Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iuri da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iuri da Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinho Berger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iuri da Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 31st minute, Pedro Augusto Gaúcho made a precise shot to the right of Claudinho Berger. Afua's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 35th minute, Tony Siqueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Afua fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 39 minutes into the match, Afua's goal looked a bit too open when Iuri da Costa came free, but Claudinho Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afua's Pedro Luiz Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iuri da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iuri da Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Iuri da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pedro Augusto Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afua's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Pedro Augusto Gaúcho scored to the left of an out of position Claudinho Berger, making the score, 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Alberto Cruz during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 71 played minutes Solarestival got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Cruz. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Solarestival walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
