Josué Berger came out and tried to block the shot, but José Pedro Dantas slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 19th minute. José Pedro Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Berger having to interfere. David Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo Nóbrega having to interfere. Remo Nóbrega came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ribeirão Preto FC's Ricardinho Neto. But to his dismay, Ricardinho Neto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ribeirão Preto FC's goalkeeper Josué Berger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, César Simão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Josué Berger. Ribeirão Preto FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that César Simão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, César Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cadete's supporters rose to their feet, but César Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Berger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Pedro Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricardinho Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. José Pedro Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josué Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Pedro Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. César Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Berger having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ribeirão Preto FC's Duarte Diniz got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 66th match minute, Cadete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex de Brito to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Ribeirão Preto FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Pedro Dantas came free, but Josué Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Pedro Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 76 minutes, César Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cadete's supporters crossed their fingers, but César Simão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Pedro Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 4-2 when José Pedro Dantas sped through Ribeirão Preto FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Josué Berger. Tiago Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Alex de Brito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Josué Berger. Ribeirão Preto FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Remo Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, José Pedro Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cadete had played much better football throughout.
