Madridista FC's Abel Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fabiano Gerber in the 8th minute of play. Durval Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luiz Pombal in the 12th minute of the match. When Luiz Fabiano Gerber came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Furtainha SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Gerber couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the match, Madridista FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dênis Peres came free, but Abel Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Madridista FC's zone, Dênis Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Amorim came out of the goal and Dênis Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 19 played minutes Madridista FC got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Barros. If Dênis Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Furtainha SC booed when Madridista FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Gerber in the 26th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Dênis Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Furtainha SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dênis Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Fabiano Gerber in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Amorim saved Madridista FC from getting behind. Furtainha SC's Dênis Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Gerber in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fabiano Gerber in the 44th minute of play forced Madridista FC's goalkeeper Abel Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dênis Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Abel Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Fabiano Gerber was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Luiz Fabiano Gerber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Furtainha SC's Dênis Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dênis Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Toninho Barros fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Madridista FC's protests and gave Toninho Barros a yellow card for diving instead. Madridista FC's Abel Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Madridista FC from getting a goal against them. Furtainha SC were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Madridista FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Clóvis de Sena took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Víktor Coutinho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Abel Amorim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 80th minute of the game, Agnaldo Cruz landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Mazinho Vale's late challenge caught a Furtainha SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mazinho Vale helped the player get up and apologised. Mazinho Vale hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Madridista FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! Jorginho Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dênis Peres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Abel Amorim made a huge save. The Madridista FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Furtainha SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
