Beto Gerber struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. César Meirelles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madridista FC. João Vítor Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. César Meirelles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Luiz Pombal's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Paraibano in the 14th minute of play forced Madridista FC's goalkeeper Abel Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Madridista FC booed when Catesporo AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Amorim having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Cássio Paraibano in the 42nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cássio Paraibano in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abel Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Tepedino in the 48th minute of the match. The Madridista FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Catesporo AD were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Sílvio Luiz Pombal made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cássio Paraibano got free with Abel Amorim in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Madridista FC's Abel Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Madridista FC from getting a goal against them. Toninho Barros's late challenge caught a Catesporo AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toninho Barros helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Madridista FC's Abel Amorim got control of the ball when Cássio Paraibano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jairo Tepedino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
