Madridista FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Icatu SC the free kick. The supporters of Icatu SC booed when Madridista FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazinho Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabiano da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Chico Cardoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Madridista FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Fabiano da Silveira scored to the left of an out of position Abel Amorim, making the score, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Toninho Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Madridista FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Toninho Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Víktor Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Sílvio Luiz Pombal made the kick off in the second half. A beautiful save bye Madridista FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 98th minute, Fabiano da Silveira made a precise shot to the right of Abel Amorim. Madridista FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Madridista FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Icatu SC.
