The audience thought a goal was coming when Cássio Paraibano got free with Frédson Tróia in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Carlos Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. César Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rômulo Aguiar in the 9th minute of the match. Jairo Tepedino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frédson Tróia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vânderson Cabral during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Jairo Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catesporo AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Tepedino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frédson Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Tepedino in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frédson Tróia saved BAÚ DA MORTE from getting behind. 23 minutes into the game, Vivaldo Rosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BAÚ DA MORTE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catesporo AD the free kick. Vivaldo Rosa hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 25 minutes of play, Catesporo AD's Jairo Tepedino made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frédson Tróia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Frédson Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frédson Tróia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cássio Paraibano in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute, Jairo Tepedino fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Frédson Tróia, passed just outside the right post. Vivaldo Rosa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Catesporo AD's Sydney Teixeira broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The wind increased when José Carlos Moreno made the kick off in the second half. Jairo Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cássio Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédson Tróia having to interfere. Cássio Paraibano took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frédson Tróia. Frédson Tróia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Jairo Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Frédson Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Cássio Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catesporo AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Cássio Paraibano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frédson Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jairo Tepedino in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frédson Tróia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jairo Tepedino scored 4-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frédson Tróia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cássio Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Frédson Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Cássio Paraibano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frédson Tróia was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in BAÚ DA MORTE's zone, Cássio Paraibano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frédson Tróia came out of the goal and Cássio Paraibano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute of the match Catesporo AD got a corner. BAÚ DA MORTE's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sydney Teixeira ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sydney Teixeira made a great header on Catesporo AD's corner, it was just that BAÚ DA MORTE's Frédson Tróia managed to reach the ball for a save. BAÚ DA MORTE's Frédson Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Paraibano in the 96th minute of play. When the match clock showed 99 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Cássio Paraibano sped through BAÚ DA MORTE's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Frédson Tróia. There was no doubt that Catesporo AD were the better team. Catesporo AD's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
