Spectators: 7098 (Terracing: 5473, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Válbson de Souza took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Breja FC's Leonel Costa got control of the ball when Beto Gerber tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sílvio Luiz Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Costa having to interfere. The long shot by João Carlos Sena in the 13th minute really tested Leonel Costa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Beto Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonel Costa was a little too slow when Sílvio Luiz Pombal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. Sílvio Luiz Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Costa having to interfere. Sebastião de Brito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Amorim having to make a save. Sebastião de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Breja FC's zone, Beto Gerber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Costa came out of the goal and Beto Gerber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sílvio Luiz Pombal struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Leonel Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madridista FC. Leonel Costa made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Beto Gerber sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd minute, Enrique Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the game, Sebastião de Brito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Abel Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abel Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastião de Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sílvio Luiz Pombal to make the kick off. Sílvio Luiz Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Costa having to interfere. In the 57th minute Beto Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Breja FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Alfredão Guerra hit a great ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Beto Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Madridista FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beto Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Breja FC's Leonel Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Gerber in the 63rd minute of play. Sebastião de Brito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Amorim having to make a save. Válbson de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Abel Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Breja FC defense, Mazinho Vale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonel Costa. The Breja FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonel Costa should have stopped the shot. Leonel Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luiz Pombal in the 73rd minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Breja FC's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Gerber came free, but Leonel Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Madridista FC's Renato Meirelles to fire away a dangerous shot which Leonel Costa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 82 minutes, Renato Meirelles made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Breja FC's Leonel Costa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th minute, Válbson de Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Válbson de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
