An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Oliveira in the 7th minute of play forced Contenda-Pr's goalkeeper Conrado Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Contenda-Pr's Conrado Luz got control of the ball when Rafinha Couto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Egídio Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Waldir Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Rafinha Couto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Conrado Luz, 1-0. Egídio Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Vieira having to interfere. Waldir Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Carlos Alberto Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldir Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Guedes in the 23rd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Contenda-Pr's goal looked a bit too open when Magno Oliveira came free, but Conrado Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rafinha Couto came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Edson gol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafinha Couto couldn't finish the play. Carlos Alberto Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Aloísio Guedes, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 36 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Waldir Vieira was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Carlos Alberto Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cafu Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Vieira having to interfere.

The wind increased when Aloísio Guedes made the kick off in the second half. Aloísio Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Waldir Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute Rafinha Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafinha Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Magno Oliveira in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conrado Luz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rafinha Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Luz having to interfere. Luís de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Edson gol's Waldir Vieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Edson gol from getting a goal against them. 95 minutes into the match, Edson gol's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Guedes came free, but Waldir Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Edson gol fans cheered their team off the field, for while Contenda-Pr had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
