An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafinha Couto in the 4th minute of play forced Creche Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Edgard Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Waldir Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgard Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Oliveira in the 14th minute of play. Wilson Alvarenga might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waldir Vieira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilson Alvarenga ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafinha Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Edgard Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 minutes of play, Edson gol's Magno Oliveira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Couto was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilson Alvarenga got free with Waldir Vieira in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Waldir Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Sampaio in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to Edson gol getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Luís de Barros hit a great ball. Gino Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Magno Oliveira made a kick off. Edson gol's Waldir Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Alvarenga in the 52nd minute of play. Rafinha Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Couto having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Wilson Alvarenga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Creche Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Rafinha Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgard Couto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Edgard Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Oliveira in the 73rd minute of play. When Rafinha Couto came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Edson gol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafinha Couto couldn't finish the play. In the 86thth minute of the game Gino Sampaio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Edson gol's Waldir Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilson Alvarenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafinha Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Edgard Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgard Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafinha Couto went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The Creche Esporte Clube supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Edson gol's performance. The match ended with a win for Edson gol.
