Waldir Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Araújo in the 14th minute of play. Rafinha Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Lenílson Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amadeu da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Favinhas FC's Amadeu da Costa in 26 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Waldir Vieira guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Rafinha Couto hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. A collision led to Favinhas FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Adelino Araújo hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Edson gol's goalkeeper Waldir Vieira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amadeu da Costa. Magno Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Magno Oliveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amadeu da Costa in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldir Vieira saved Edson gol from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Edson gol's zone, Amadeu da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldir Vieira came out of the goal and Amadeu da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute, Edson gol's Magno Oliveira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lenílson Tepedino. Lenílson Tepedino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Rafinha Couto's late challenge caught a Favinhas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafinha Couto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Edson gol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafinha Couto to maneuver through the defense. After 67 played minutes Edson gol got a freekick which was hit by Luís de Barros. The audience was convinced that Amadeu da Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waldir Vieira was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeu da Costa in the 73rd minute of play forced Edson gol's goalkeeper Waldir Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Edson gol defense, Adelino Araújo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldir Vieira. The Edson gol fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldir Vieira should have stopped the shot. Amadeu da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Vieira having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Edson gol's zone, Adelino Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldir Vieira came out of the goal and Adelino Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeu da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute, Amadeu da Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Favinhas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 89 minutes into the match, Favinhas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Magno Oliveira came free, but Lenílson Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeu da Costa took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Waldir Vieira. Waldir Vieira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Favinhas FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
