VimdeMarte's Lino Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natanael Perez in the 31st minute of play. Nicolas Ceresso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lino Vergílio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Natanael Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natanael Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Vicente Vale made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Natanael Perez in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Vergílio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vicente Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natanael Perez in the 59th minute of play forced VimdeMarte's goalkeeper Lino Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedrinho Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Albuquerque having to interfere. Birutas FC's Ademar Santos pulled a muscle in his back after 66 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 66th minute, Edmundo de Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VimdeMarte's Lino Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Ceresso in the 71st minute of play. After 72 minutes, Hernani Seco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VimdeMarte and the Birutas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to VimdeMarte getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Hernani Seco hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Birutas FC were awarded a corner. Samuel Trancoso went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Jairo Santos managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Arlindo Albuquerque made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Pedrinho Toscano sent off a good shot on target. Birutas FC's Arlindo Albuquerque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Vale in the 93rd minute of play. If Pedrinho Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. VimdeMarte's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
