Marco Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor da Costa in the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Almir da Rocha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of William Rocha. BH Mavericks™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Almir da Rocha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Aranau's Marco Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor da Costa in the 12th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Oséias da Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BH Mavericks™ and the Aranau players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aranau's Marco Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor da Costa in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to BH Mavericks™ getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Conrado Linares hit a great ball. Edgard Xavier's late challenge caught a BH Mavericks™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Xavier helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of BH Mavericks™ booed when Aranau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Xavier didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 minutes, Tony Baiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BH Mavericks™ and the Aranau players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to BH Mavericks™ getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Tony Baiano hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the game, Róbson da Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BH Mavericks™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aranau the free kick. After 30 played minutes BH Mavericks™ got a freekick which was hit by Róbson da Silva. 32 minutes into the match, Renatinho Carneiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of William Rocha. BH Mavericks™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renatinho Carneiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Nestor da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Aguiar having to interfere. Armandinho Catarinense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Aranau's Marco Aguiar got control of the ball when Armandinho Catarinense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lauro Madureira's late challenge caught a Aranau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lauro Madureira helped the player get up and apologised. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Renatinho Carneiro to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, BH Mavericks™'s Nestor da Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Aguiar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilian Recife's late challenge caught a BH Mavericks™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilian Recife helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th match minute, Aranau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilian Recife to maneuver through the defense. BH Mavericks™'s Armandinho Catarinense got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Almir da Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Aranau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Almir da Rocha couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute, Almir da Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Renatinho Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. William Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aranau. William Rocha came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Aranau's Almir da Rocha. But to his dismay, Almir da Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 83rd minute, Armandinho Catarinense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Aguiar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Almir da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. William Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Aguiar came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by BH Mavericks™'s Nestor da Costa. But to his dismay, Nestor da Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Aranau had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
