Spectators: 6652 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 0) Calango Pardo FC's Juan Carioca started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Renatinho Carneiro charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renatinho Carneiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd minute, Renatinho Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enrique Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Marco Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th match minute, Aranau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Mattos to maneuver through the defense. Calango Pardo FC's Pedro Luís Leite got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Pedrão Quintal managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Aranau's Almir da Rocha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Aranau's Renatinho Carneiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedrão Quintal. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. After 28 minutes of play, Calango Pardo FC's Juan Carioca made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Aguiar was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Castro in the 31st minute of play forced Aranau's goalkeeper Marco Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Almir da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aranau's supporters rose to their feet, but Almir da Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrão Quintal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aranau's Marco Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Carioca in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Aranau's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Carioca came free, but Marco Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Juan Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Aranau's Hortêncio Schmidt got a free kick in the 64th minute. Renatinho Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Pedrão Quintal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70thth minute of the game Almir da Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calango Pardo FC's Pedrão Quintal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 72 played minutes Aranau got a freekick which was hit by Almir da Rocha. Juan Carioca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 76 minutes, Juan Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calango Pardo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Carioca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedrão Quintal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renatinho Carneiro went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. After 87 minutes, Benê Romero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Calango Pardo FC and the Aranau players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benê Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Pedrão Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir da Rocha in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Almir da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aranau's supporters rose to their feet, but Almir da Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrão Quintal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Aranau's goalkeeper Marco Aguiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Renatinho Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Calango Pardo FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
