Spectators: 7230 (Terracing: 5424, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Sousel EC's Márcio Bezerra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Sousel EC's zone, Nestor da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington da Rocha came out of the goal and Nestor da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute, Nestor da Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BH Mavericks™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Wellington da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armandinho Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Márcio Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 played minutes Sousel EC got a freekick which was hit by Magno Koehler. In the 27th minute Tony Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington da Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BH Mavericks™'s Nestor da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Armandinho Catarinense came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the BH Mavericks™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armandinho Catarinense couldn't finish the play. Nestor da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 played minutes BH Mavericks™ got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Nogueira. If Nestor da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Márcio Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Rocha having to interfere. William Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulysses Godoi in the 57th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, BH Mavericks™'s Matheus Nogueira got a free kick in the 57th minute. Márcio Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. William Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. William Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Márcio Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Bezerra in the 65th minute of play forced BH Mavericks™'s goalkeeper William Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulysses Godoi scored 1-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of William Rocha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 73 minutes into the match, Sousel EC's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor da Costa came free, but Wellington da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington da Rocha having to interfere. After 83 played minutes Sousel EC got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Sousa. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sousel EC's goalkeeper Wellington da Rocha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th match minute, BH Mavericks™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor da Costa to maneuver through the defense. William Rocha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulysses Godoi's shot from short distance in the 100th minute.
