Spectators: 7286 (Terracing: 5467, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Renatinho Carneiro got the match started through his kick off. Sousel EC's Wellington da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir da Rocha in the 4th minute of play. Renatinho Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Wellington da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sousel EC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Marcos Barros hit a great ball. Wellington da Rocha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Almir da Rocha's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Wellington da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir da Rocha in the 13th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Sousel EC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Barros. When Aranau's Almir da Rocha in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sousel EC's goalie prevented a goal. Marcos Barros hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When Magno Koehler fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sousel EC's protests and gave Magno Koehler a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sousel EC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Magno Koehler hit a great ball. After 30 played minutes, Aranau's Hortêncio Schmidt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wellington da Rocha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aranau reached it. In the 31st minute, Márcio Bezerra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Aguiar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 36th minute, Edgard Xavier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sousel EC's Magno Koehler shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Marco Aguiar but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renatinho Carneiro in the 39th minute of play forced Sousel EC's goalkeeper Wellington da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sousel EC's Marcos Barros got his second yellow card of the match in the 39th minute. The referee ordered Marcos Barros off the ground. Marcos Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Renatinho Carneiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wellington da Rocha was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 46th minute Almir da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington da Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Sousel EC defense, Edgard Xavier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wellington da Rocha. The Sousel EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wellington da Rocha should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulysses Godoi was the one to do the kick off. In the 60th match minute, Aranau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Xavier to maneuver through the defense. Sousel EC's Magno Koehler couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Aranau. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Almir da Rocha during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Aranau getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Almir da Rocha hit a great ball. When Ulysses Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Sousel EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulysses Godoi couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the game, Márcio Bezerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sousel EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aranau the free kick. When Aranau's Almir da Rocha, in the 67th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Aranau. 69 minutes in the game, Almir da Rocha fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Wellington da Rocha having to interfere. Ulysses Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Aguiar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulysses Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renatinho Carneiro in the 78th minute of play forced Sousel EC's goalkeeper Wellington da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulysses Godoi in the 80th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Almir da Rocha got free with Wellington da Rocha in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Renatinho Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Renatinho Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington da Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almir da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington da Rocha having to interfere. If Renatinho Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Almir da Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
