Víktor Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Moisés Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 9 played minutes Caimbombo SS got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Teles. José Carlos Bueno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cícero Ribeiro in the 10th minute. José Carlos Bueno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cícero Ribeiro went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 14 minutes into the game, Yuri Guerra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Carlos Bueno. Yuri Guerra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Selefla's Davi Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Víktor Araújo in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of Caimbombo SS booed when Selefla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Moisés Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caimbombo SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moisés Munhoz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Selefla's Yuri Guerra in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caimbombo SS's goalie prevented a goal. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yuri Guerra made a kick off. José Carlos Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Carlos Eduardo do Valle's late challenge caught a Selefla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Eduardo do Valle helped the player get up and apologised. Carlos Eduardo do Valle hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Yuri Guerra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Carlos Bueno was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Cícero Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute Raí Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cícero Ribeiro in the 66th minute of play forced Caimbombo SS's goalkeeper José Carlos Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Caimbombo SS getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Wilton de Castro hit a great ball. José Carlos Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Guerra in the 69th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Yuri Guerra notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Caimbombo SS's José Carlos Bueno. José Carlos Bueno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 82 minutes into the match, Caimbombo SS's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Guerra came free, but José Carlos Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cícero Ribeiro in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Carlos Bueno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute, Cícero Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Caimbombo SS's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Guerra came free, but José Carlos Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cipriano de Sena fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caimbombo SS's protests and gave Cipriano de Sena a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Caimbombo SS getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Cipriano de Sena hit a great ball. Cícero Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Selefla fans cheered their team off the field, for while Caimbombo SS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
