Valdir Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Valdir Xavier came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by F.C Renegades's Guilherme Alagoano. But to his dismay, Guilherme Alagoano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 2-6 when Guilherme Alagoano sped through VILA NOVA F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valdir Xavier. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guilherme Alagoano in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdir Xavier saved VILA NOVA F.C. from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Guilherme Alagoano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdir Xavier was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Tony Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrão Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Pedrão Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over F.C Renegades could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than VILA NOVA F.C. throughout the match.
