Murillo Barreto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júlio Quirino went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Mulambo's Júlio Quirino got a free kick in the 16th minute. Vágner Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Murillo Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adilson Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caio Urbano in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Vágner Salgado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Murillo Barreto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Joffily EC's Murillo Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Quirino in the 27th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Júlio Quirino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Murillo Barreto was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Vágner Salgado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Murillo Barreto made a huge save. 58 minutes into the match, Joffily EC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Quirino came free, but Murillo Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vágner Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Júlio Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Júlio Quirino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Murillo Barreto, 0-3. 74 minutes in the game, Júlio Quirino dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Júlio Quirino lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Murillo Barreto. Joffily EC's Murillo Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Quirino in the 82nd minute of play. Vágner Salgado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Murillo Barreto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Murillo Barreto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vágner Salgado in the 85th minute. With a little luck, Joffily EC's Murillo Barreto got control of the ball when Vágner Salgado tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Joffily EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mulambo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
