Mulambo's Adilson Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Cardozo in the 20th minute of play. Moisés Gomes's late challenge caught a Bode Velho MZ Force's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moisés Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Mulambo's Moisés Gomes got a free kick in the 21st minute. Júlio Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Cerezo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Cardozo in the 26th minute of play forced Mulambo's goalkeeper Adilson Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Bode Velho MZ Force booed when Mulambo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinaldo Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Lenílson Domingues made a precise shot to the right of Adilson Baiano. Mulambo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Bode Velho MZ Force's zone, Júlio Quirino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vivaldo Cerezo came out of the goal and Júlio Quirino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Júlio Quirino struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Vivaldo Cerezo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mulambo. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

With a little luck, Mulambo's Adilson Baiano got control of the ball when Lenílson Domingues tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Júlio Quirino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vivaldo Cerezo was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Alberto de Sena hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vágner Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adilson Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gugu Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th match minute, Mulambo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Adilson Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu Cardozo in the 81st minute of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bode Velho MZ Force would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
