Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) VILA NOVA F.C.'s Dráuzio de Andrade started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Iterere getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Oséas Quintal hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráuzio de Andrade in the 4th minute of play forced Iterere's goalkeeper João Adolfo Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Renato Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Renato Valadares took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Xavier. Valdir Xavier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. João Adolfo Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrão Mandrak in the 18th minute of play. Oséas Quintal charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oséas Quintal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Oséas Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, VILA NOVA F.C.'s Zé Carlos Ramalho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Ernani Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iterere's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernani Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdir Xavier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valdir Xavier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernani Freitas went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. João Adolfo Cardoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráuzio de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oséas Quintal got his second yellow card in the match during the 32nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Oséas Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Dráuzio de Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Adolfo Cardoso. Iterere's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dráuzio de Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Ernani Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ernani Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Xavier having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráuzio de Andrade in the 54th minute of play forced Iterere's goalkeeper João Adolfo Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Iterere's zone, Pedrão Mandrak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Adolfo Cardoso came out of the goal and Pedrão Mandrak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute, Ernani Freitas made a precise shot to the right of Valdir Xavier. VILA NOVA F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 70th minute Ernani Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdir Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernani Freitas in the 72nd minute of the match. Valdir Xavier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernani Freitas's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Valdir Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernani Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Iterere's goalkeeper João Adolfo Cardoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedrão Mandrak. Ernani Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Valdir Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, VILA NOVA F.C.'s Dráuzio de Andrade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Adolfo Cardoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Iterere had won after a very even match.
