Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gugu Cardozo started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fiori Veiga during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Doni Peres's late challenge caught a Bode Velho MZ Force's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doni Peres helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14thth minute of the game Lenílson Domingues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goytacaz FC's Laércio de Souza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fiori Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vivaldo Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renan Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Fiori Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Vivaldo Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Goytacaz FC got a freekick which was hit by Doni Peres. Anísio de Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anísio de Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vivaldo Cerezo came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Goytacaz FC's Jonas Coutinho. But to his dismay, Jonas Coutinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some careless play in the Goytacaz FC defense, Lenílson Domingues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laércio de Souza. The Goytacaz FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laércio de Souza should have stopped the shot. Doni Peres got his second yellow card in the match during the 45th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Goytacaz FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Doni Peres hit a great ball. Goytacaz FC's Laércio de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lenílson Domingues in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fiori Veiga made a kick off. Laércio de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu Cardozo in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd match minute, Bode Velho MZ Force was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Novaes to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Fiori Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goytacaz FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fiori Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vivaldo Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fiori Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Goytacaz FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Gugu Cardozo scored to the left of an out of position Laércio de Souza, making the score, 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lenílson Tepedino during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lenílson Tepedino hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Angelo Berger took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vivaldo Cerezo. Bode Velho MZ Force's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fiori Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Cerezo having to interfere. Lenílson Domingues in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Laércio de Souza, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Goytacaz FC's Laércio de Souza got control of the ball when Dida Pitta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonas Coutinho's late challenge caught a Bode Velho MZ Force's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Goytacaz FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gugu Cardozo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5.
