Falcão Quirino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Rodolfo Freitas made a huge save. Dorian da Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Capixaba in the 22nd minute of play. Dorian da Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wágner Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Júnior Baptista ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Falcão Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zamboni FBPA's supporters rose to their feet, but Falcão Quirino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute of the match Gabriel dos Santos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolfo Freitas skillfully saved the ball. If Enéas Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorian da Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Capixaba in the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilson Capixaba was the one to do the kick off. Wágner Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Dorian da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zamboni FBPA's Alfredo Pernambucano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Vito Mota, made in the 67th minute of the game. 77 minutes into the game, Ricardo Baptista threw the ball into play from the sideline. Zamboni FBPA's Vicente de Brito quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rodolfo Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Quirino in the 80th minute of the match. Vicente de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the game, Vicente de Brito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rodolfo Freitas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Despite being the better team, Zamboni FBPA failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
