Falcão Quirino fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 16th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. In the 19th minute, Fronteiro SC's André Rosa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 22 minutes into the game, Júnior Baptista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Leopoldo Meira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Arlindo Marquez took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Dorian da Silva to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Fronteiro SC's Júlio Guimarães got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Alfredo Pernambucano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zamboni FBPA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Falcão Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Júnior Baptista took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Meira. Leopoldo Meira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Falcão Quirino hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 62 minutes, Durval Lucas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fronteiro SC and the Zamboni FBPA players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fronteiro SC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Durval Lucas hit a great ball. Fronteiro SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Falcão Quirino scored to the left of an out of position Leopoldo Meira, making the score, 4-3. Vicente de Brito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leopoldo Meira having to make a save. Falcão Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dorian da Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Vicente de Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Leopoldo Meira made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Fronteiro SC's zone, Vicente de Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Meira came out of the goal and Vicente de Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Vicente de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zamboni FBPA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente de Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zamboni FBPA's attentive Alfredo Pernambucano managed to snatch the ball when Enrique Dantas made a throw-in in the 95th minute of the game. Alfredo Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Leopoldo Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Fronteiro SC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
