When Fernandão Furlan fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ilhota's protests and gave Fernandão Furlan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Fernandão Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 24 minutes of play Ilhota's Fernandão Furlan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Real Caobianco FC booed when Ilhota was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandão Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelo Peixoto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mateus Urbano. Ilhota's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pedrão Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Urbano having to interfere. Ilhota's Benjamin Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedrão Coutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Mateus Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enio de Amaral got free with Eriberto Mota in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

With his leg Mateus Urbano managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Real Caobianco FC's Pedrão Coutinho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Valdo Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mateus Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrão Coutinho in the 62nd minute of play. If Bruninho da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Valdo Senna came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Real Caobianco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdo Senna couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the match, Enio de Amaral notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Real Caobianco FC's Eriberto Mota. Eriberto Mota was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Enio de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Mota having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Angelo Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celsinho Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Mateus Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Celsinho Damião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Real Caobianco FC's Celsinho Damião got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, Ilhota could leave the field as winners, despite Real Caobianco FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
