Coxilha FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ibirarema f.c the free kick. Murillo Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Faria having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Favoretto was the one to do the kick off. In the 75th minute, Dudu Paes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Sarmento in the 77th minute of play forced ibirarema f.c's goalkeeper Leopoldo Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christiano Ceresso got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Coxilha FC's Vicente Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murillo Carvalho in the 83rd minute of play. Ricardinho Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Dudu Paes put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Leopoldo Furtado. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dudu Paes got free with Leopoldo Furtado in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
