In the 28th minute, Unidade Popular's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Victor Perez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Arnaldo Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenílson Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute, Lenílson Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Erivaldo da Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Unidade Popular's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alexrandina EC the free kick. Unidade Popular's Lenílson Guerra came free and shot a quick shot against goal 62 minutes in the game, fortunately Arnaldo Antunes had problems saving as it came toward the left post.
