In the 12th match minute, ibirarema f.c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Erivaldo da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Leopoldo Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomás Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murillo Carvalho in the 16th minute of the match. Unidade Popular's Lenílson Guerra got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erivaldo da Rocha was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Unidade Popular's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Tomás Carvalho came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by ibirarema f.c's Benê Seco. But to his dismay, Benê Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erivaldo da Rocha got free with Leopoldo Furtado in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ibirarema f.c's Leopoldo Furtado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save ibirarema f.c from getting a goal against them. 47 minutes into the game, Erivaldo da Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Unidade Popular's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ibirarema f.c the free kick. In the 47th minute, Erivaldo da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half ibirarema f.c were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júlio Favoretto to make the kick off. If Lenílson Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unidade Popular's Tomás Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Unidade Popular from getting a goal against them. With his leg Tomás Carvalho managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when ibirarema f.c's Murillo Carvalho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Murillo Carvalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Murillo Carvalho ran back to his position shaking his head. Unidade Popular's Erivaldo da Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 74 played minutes ibirarema f.c got a freekick which was hit by Renato Silva. After 78 minutes, Rubens Cardozo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unidade Popular and the ibirarema f.c players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, ibirarema f.c's Júlio Favoretto got a free kick in the 89th minute. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Júlio Favoretto took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Tomás Carvalho to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ibirarema f.c had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
