In the 34th minute of the match, César Sarmento tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tomás Carvalho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 39 minutes into the match, Coxilha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erivaldo da Rocha came free, but Vicente Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Célio Castro's late challenge caught a Coxilha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
