An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto dos Santos in the 7th minute of play forced Joanesia AD's goalkeeper Natã Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 8 minutes, Pedro Augusto dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bacaubas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Augusto dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Rafael Martins got free in front of the goal in the 9th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Natã Galvão was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Virgílio Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natã Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléberson Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Augusto dos Santos scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natã Galvão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. João Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frédson Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Eger in the 27th minute of play. If Pedro Augusto dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute Pedro Augusto dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natã Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frédson Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgílio Pombal went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Augusto dos Santos in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natã Galvão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 47th minute João Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frédson Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Virgílio Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédson Marques having to interfere. Cléberson Urbano's late challenge caught a Joanesia AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cléberson Urbano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Cléberson Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frédson Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Rafael Martins struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Natã Galvão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bacaubas FC. Pedro Augusto dos Santos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Natã Galvão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 65th minute, Ricardinho Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 2-1 became the score in the 67th minute when João Eger elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Natã Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 73 played minutes Joanesia AD got a freekick which was hit by Durval de Almeida. Rogério Carioca shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 80 minutes into the match, Joanesia AD's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Martins came free, but Natã Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Pedro Augusto dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Bacaubas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Augusto dos Santos couldn't finish the play. Pedro Augusto dos Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Natã Galvão made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Augusto dos Santos got free with Natã Galvão in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute of the match Bacaubas FC got a corner. Joanesia AD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rogério Carioca ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cléberson Urbano was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After a rather tough play, Joanesia AD's Humberto Vale got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Joanesia AD's zone, Pedro Augusto dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natã Galvão came out of the goal and Pedro Augusto dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Joanesia AD were victorious despite being under pressure from Bacaubas FC for much of the match.
