Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nestor Alcântara to make the kick off. Cássio Paranaense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnaldo de Carvalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Cássio Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. The supporters of Benta booed when Agronomia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute Kaká Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Saldanha hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Benta played a much better game than Agronomia FC and deserved their victory. The Agronomia FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
