After a rather tough play, Paulo Afonso City's Tião Pinheiro got a free kick in the 7th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Carlos Eduardo Fontes lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Dráuzio Tróia. Matheus Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 19 minutes of play, Paulo Afonso City's Wanderson Vasconcelos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matheus Passos was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Manguenza getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Fabiano Novaes hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Carlos Eduardo Fontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dráuzio Tróia was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. If Fabiano Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Eduardo Fontes struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Dráuzio Tróia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manguenza. Manguenza's Matheus Passos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanderson Vasconcelos in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Matheus Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme de Queirós in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Manguenza's goalkeeper Matheus Passos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wanderson Vasconcelos. Baltazar Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baltazar Branco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Manguenza getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paulo Afonso City's goalkeeper Dráuzio Tróia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Eduardo Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute Dadá Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Eduardo Fontes in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dráuzio Tróia saved Paulo Afonso City from getting behind. Dráuzio Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Novaes in the 73rd minute of the match. Carlos Eduardo Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Tróia having to interfere. Dráuzio Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Fontes in the 83rd minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Fontes struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Dráuzio Tróia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manguenza. With a little luck, Manguenza's Matheus Passos got control of the ball when Wanderson Vasconcelos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stephan Pinnerup received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Dráuzio Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manguenza were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Paulo Afonso City to leave the ground with a draw.
