Erasmo Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natã Galvão having to interfere. With a little luck, Joanesia AD's Natã Galvão got control of the ball when Glauco Cruz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Erasmo Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pomarola F C's supporters rose to their feet, but Erasmo Matorin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natã Galvão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Natã Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Matorin in the 9th minute of the match. Erasmo Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glauco Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgílio Pombal might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Maria Ortiz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Virgílio Pombal ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgílio Pombal in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Maria Ortiz saved Pomarola F C from getting behind. Pomarola F C's José Maria Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval de Almeida in the 32nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erasmo Matorin in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natã Galvão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Joanesia AD getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Durval de Almeida hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Joanesia AD's goalkeeper Natã Galvão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Glauco Cruz. If Glauco Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Pomarola F C's Erasmo Matorin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Natã Galvão. Natã Galvão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

53 minutes into the match, Pomarola F C's goal looked a bit too open when João Eger came free, but José Maria Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maria Ortiz having to interfere. When Durval de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Joanesia AD's protests and gave Durval de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. Durval de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Eger in the 72nd minute of play forced Pomarola F C's goalkeeper José Maria Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natã Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Cruz in the 76th minute of play. If Glauco Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natã Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Matorin in the 80th minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, João Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joanesia AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Eger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Délio Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. João Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Maria Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pomarola F C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Joanesia AD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
