In the 9th match minute, AKAI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denílson Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. Wanderson Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute Luiz Guilherme de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Luiz Guilherme de Queirós fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Wanderson Vasconcelos succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 23rd playminute. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind AKAI FC's goalkeeper Chico Camargo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 30 minutes AKAI FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Váldson Rosado who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of AKAI FC booed when Paulo Afonso City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcinho Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wanderson Vasconcelos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Chico Camargo made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Guilherme de Queirós was the one to do the kick off. Chico Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme de Queirós in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Wanderson Vasconcelos made a precise shot to the right of Chico Camargo. AKAI FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Chico Camargo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Guilherme de Queirós's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After 60 minutes, Maurício Arce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AKAI FC and the Paulo Afonso City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 61 played minutes, Paulo Afonso City's Váldson Rosado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chico Camargo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paulo Afonso City reached it. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Wanderson Vasconcelos sped through AKAI FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Chico Camargo. Marcinho Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Camargo having to interfere. Maurício Arce's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dráuzio Tróia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Caetano Domingues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caetano Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Dráuzio Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurício Arce struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Dráuzio Tróia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AKAI FC. 94 minutes into the match, AKAI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme de Queirós came free, but Chico Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute Luiz Guilherme de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Paulo Afonso City were victorious despite being under pressure from AKAI FC for much of the match.
