Anselmo Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durvalino Pirani having to interfere. Anselmo Trevisan took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Durvalino Pirani. Durvalino Pirani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Yan Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, Goulart's Yan Pinheiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Durvalino Pirani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anselmo Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durvalino Pirani having to interfere. When Yan Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Goulart fans jumped to their feet. Durvalino Pirani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amauri Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Sabóia having to interfere. Yan Pinheiro took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Durvalino Pirani. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Goulart's goalkeeper Sílvio Sabóia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 49 minutes, Yan Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goulart's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yan Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anselmo Trevisan to strike the kick off in the second half. Durvalino Pirani made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Yan Pinheiro sent off a good shot on target. Goulart's Yan Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Glauco Barral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the game, Amauri Sabóia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Sílvio Sabóia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Régis Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Sílvio Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute Amauri Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Goulart would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
