The crowd rose to their feet as Gabriel Lopez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hernani Dias. That made the score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. Hernani Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Gabriel Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Dias having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cido Machado in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernani Dias saved Ivan Futebol Clube from getting behind. Guto Chaves hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Hernani Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Lopez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hernani Dias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After 22 minutes, Elano Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ivan Futebol Clube and the Ibirucucu players grew even worse after the yellow card. Murilo de Almeida who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Hernani Dias when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Ivan Futebol Clube's Guto Chaves got a free kick in the 31st minute. Murilo de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Dias having to interfere. Murilo de Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hernani Dias having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
