In the 13th match minute, Valinhos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro Novaes to maneuver through the defense. Delfim do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonsinho Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Doni Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delfim do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doni Severo having to interfere. Amadeu da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonsinho Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Delfim do Valle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doni Severo was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Delfim do Valle to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delfim do Valle in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doni Severo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Doni Severo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonsinho Viana's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Clemente Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu da Silva in the 55th minute of play. When Maurinho Tasso fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maracassume's protests and gave Maurinho Tasso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, Maurinho Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Valinhos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Delfim do Valle came free, but Doni Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim do Valle in the 60th minute of play forced Valinhos FC's goalkeeper Doni Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute Amadeu da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Pimenta in the 89th minute of play forced Maracassume's goalkeeper Clemente Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doni Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
