Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nico Ramos made the kick off which started today's match. When Valdomiro Lopez came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the São Paulo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdomiro Lopez couldn't finish the play. If Nico Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nico Ramos's late challenge caught a São Paulo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nico Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. Nico Ramos hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, São Paulo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nico Ramos came free, but Rogério Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claros SC's Nico Ferreira got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, São Paulo FC's Walmir Alves got a free kick in the 20th minute. Germano Messias missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 22 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Rogério Mineiro right hand side. Miguel Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Ivo da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Almeida's late challenge caught a São Paulo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. São Paulo FC's Rogério Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico Ramos in the 38th minute of play. If Nico Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Durval de Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durval de Queirós hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, São Paulo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nico Ramos came free, but Rogério Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivo da Fonseca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valdomiro Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Nico Ramos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rogério Mineiro, passed just outside the right post. Nico Ramos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogério Mineiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Miguel Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo da Fonseca in the 62nd minute of play. After 64 minutes Claros SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hermínio Borges who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Hermínio Borges almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Claros SC's Miguel Lima did a great save. Gernando das Neves charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gernando das Neves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gernando das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nico Ramos in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério Mineiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Nico Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogério Mineiro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fernando da Silva. Nico Ferreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Rogério Mineiro made a huge save. After 82 played minutes São Paulo FC got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo Amaral. Rogério Mineiro made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Nico Ferreira sent off a good shot on target. Pedro Paulo Lucas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogério Mineiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. 1-1 became the score in the 90th minute when Nico Ramos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gernando das Neves got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Despite being the better team, Claros SC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
