Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dário Baptista kicked off to start the match. Curralzinho's Manuel Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dário Baptista in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Lara in the 5th minute of play forced Curralzinho's goalkeeper Manuel Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Palestra de Tomini's Waldir Moura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Quirino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 9 played minutes Curralzinho got a freekick which was hit by Renato Tande. After 13 played minutes Curralzinho got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Souza. Manuel Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Lara in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Dário Baptista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Quirino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Palestra de Tomini's supporters rose to their feet, but José Vítor Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Quirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 34 minutes into the match, Curralzinho's goal looked a bit too open when Dário Baptista came free, but Manuel Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandro Peres was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 36th minute. Curralzinho's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Renato Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandro Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilvan Silva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sandro Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. Sandro Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Silva having to interfere. When Renato Tande came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Curralzinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Tande couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute José Vítor Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sandro Peres to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Pedro Luís Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Curralzinho:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Palestra de Tomini:s goal. When the match had been going on for 54 minutes, Palestra de Tomini's Gildo Quintal got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Manuel Quirino. Pedro Luís Meira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Manuel Quirino made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Renato Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curralzinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Tande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renato Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Manuel Quirino successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 0-7 became the score in the 91st minute when Pedro Luís Meira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Manuel Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Siqueira in the 94th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Luís Meira got free with Manuel Quirino in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Palestra de Tomini supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Palestra de Tomini would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
