In the 4th minute José Augusto Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 6 minutes, Mauro Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curralzinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frédson Duarte took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manuel Quirino. Curralzinho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Manuel Quirino was a little too slow when Cipriano Tepedino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. Curralzinho's Manuel Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Tepedino in the 22nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Evaristo Siqueira took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Manuel Quirino to make any attempt to save it. In the 28th minute, Capinzal's Evaristo Siqueira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manuel Quirino. Manuel Quirino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. With a little luck, Curralzinho's Manuel Quirino got control of the ball when Erivaldo Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Curralzinho's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Evaristo Siqueira scored to the left of an out of position Manuel Quirino, making the score, 4-0. Curralzinho's Manuel Quirino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Curralzinho from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the game, Cipriano Tepedino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manuel Quirino. Cipriano Tepedino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. 5-1 came in the 39th minute when Sandro Peres all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Léo de Andrade. Teodoro Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Curralzinho's goalkeeper Manuel Quirino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erivaldo Santana. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-1.

After a rather tough play, Curralzinho's Teodoro Proença got a free kick in the 55th minute. Frédson Duarte struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Manuel Quirino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capinzal. Manuel Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Siqueira in the 58th minute of play. Manuel Quirino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Augusto Messias went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. 64 minutes into the match, Curralzinho's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Siqueira came free, but Manuel Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Curralzinho's goal looked a bit too open when Erivaldo Santana came free, but Manuel Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erivaldo Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Capinzal booed when Curralzinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erivaldo Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Augusto Messias in the 99th minute of play forced Curralzinho's goalkeeper Manuel Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Curralzinho players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Capinzal.
