Carlos Alberto Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After having played for 5 minutes, Frédson Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capinzal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frédson Duarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Alberto Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Léo de Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. If Dino Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Augusto Messias hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Edmundo Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo de Andrade having to interfere. Edmundo Bezerra struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Léo de Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Val Hallar. Fabrício Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Léo de Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano Tepedino charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cipriano Tepedino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Capinzal's Léo de Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Capinzal from getting a goal against them. Fabrício Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo de Andrade having to interfere. In the 35th match minute, Capinzal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Siqueira to maneuver through the defense. Val Hallar's Wilson Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Augusto Messias in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Val Hallar's Luciano Matos got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 45 played minutes, Capinzal's Alfredo Ramalho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wilson Marquez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Capinzal reached it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Carlos Alberto Silva took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Léo de Andrade. Léo de Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Edmundo Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo de Andrade having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Luciano Matos notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Capinzal's Léo de Andrade. Léo de Andrade was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 68 minutes into the match, Capinzal's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Bezerra came free, but Léo de Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Léo de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Bezerra in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Erivaldo Santana notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Val Hallar's Wilson Marquez. Wilson Marquez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 75 minutes into the game, Fabrício Fontes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Léo de Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabrício Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Capinzal getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Evaristo Siqueira hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes Val Hallar got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Silva. Carlos Alberto Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo de Andrade having to interfere. Val Hallar walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
