Enio Maia came out of the goal and Durvalino de Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute Dário Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Durvalino de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, David Velasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BRUSQUE FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaceaba the free kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dário Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Enio Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráuzio Palmeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dário Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Aparecido having to interfere. After 96 minutes, Luís Fábio Araújo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaceaba and the BRUSQUE FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The BRUSQUE FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Jaceaba from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
