Flávio Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Juninho Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Durval Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 12thth minute of the game Clemente Vale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tavares FC's Durval Santos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Sandro dos Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Durval Santos was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Anderson Fernandezs short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Juninho Sanches to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 20th minute, Clemente Vale left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Team name fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Juninho Sanches made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Anderson Fernandez sent off a good shot on target. Clemente Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Durval Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Tavares FC's Flávio Aguiar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juninho Sanches narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Juninho Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flávio Aguiar in the 36th minute of the match. Flávio Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anderson Fernandez came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Juninho Sanches could save by the left post. 46 minutes into the game, Flávio Aguiar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juninho Sanches. Flávio Aguiar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clemente Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Flávio Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flávio Aguiar in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juninho Sanches saved Team name from getting behind. Anderson Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Sanches having to interfere. Sandro dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Santos having to interfere. Arthur Falcão charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arthur Falcão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Tavares FC got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Falcão. Arthur Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Sanches having to interfere. A collision led to Team name getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Luiz Fabiano França hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Flávio Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juninho Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anderson Fernandez in the 84th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Team name's zone, Flávio Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juninho Sanches came out of the goal and Flávio Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 3-1 became the score in the 89th minute when Anderson Fernandez elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tavares FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
